Entrance Project/No Stoplight
Below are the tentative plans by FDOT to restrict left-hand turns from the community onto St. Rd. 415. Numerous efforts have been made to find an alternative solution, including a stoplight, with no luck. If you object to this proposal or have any questions or concerns, please attend the meeting being held on August 6th (5:30pm) at the Sanford Civic Center and voice your concerns. You can view the letter and project information sent to all residents below.
Hello Sterling Meadows Residents,
You should have all received a notice on your front door regarding an important FDOT Project about the entrance to our community. For several years now, the need for a stop light at the Sterling Meadows entrance has been a topic of discussion between our association and the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT). Despite our ongoing efforts and pleas, we have yet to see progress. FDOT has proposed to eliminate left-hand turns out of our community. However, we have a crucial opportunity to make our voices heard and advocate for the safety measures our community desperately needs. We urge all residents to come together and attend the upcoming meeting to show FDOT that a stop light is essential for reducing roadway accident hazards and preventing future tragedies.
