Learn About The Newly Established Violations Committee
Dear Community Members,
The Board of Directors is pleased to announce the formation of a Violations Committee, following a sufficient number of positive responses from our community. This committee will enhance the efficiency and fairness of our violation resolution process.
Committee Role in Violation Management:
The Board will implement a "30-30" model for addressing violations. This process begins with a 30-day courtesy notice, providing homeowners an opportunity to resolve the issue. If the violation remains unresolved after this period, the Board may refer the matter to the Violations Committee.
Upon referral, the homeowner will receive a 30-day notice of an electronic hearing with the Committee. During this hearing, the homeowner will have the opportunity to present their case. The Committee will then review the appeal, determining the validity of the violation in accordance with our governing documents and state law.
Committee Rejection: If the Committee determines the violation is invalid, the Board will cease all further action on the matter.
Committee Affirmation: If the Committee affirms the violation, the Board may pursue legal action to achieve compliance.
The Board’s primary objective is to resolve violations amicably, avoiding fines and legal disputes. However, we are also responsible for upholding the standards outlined in our community bylaws.
The Board will not impose fines for violations. Unresolved violations affirmed by the Committee may be referred for legal action.
